True Scan Pro

How it works

From your production line to the buyer's hand

True Scan Pro gives every item you make a code that cannot be forged, then shows the buyer exactly what happened to it. Here is the whole journey.

1. What the manufacturer does

Four steps, in any order you like.

Register your company

Sign up with your official company email — the address must match your company website (for example name@yourcompany.com, not a personal inbox). Our team checks the company before your brand goes live.

Set the dates and the type

Choose the type of product (medicine, food, drink, body cream, household item, phone, watch, electronics, jewellery, or your own). Manufacturing date and expiry date are required — they are what buyers check.

Generate the batch

Tell us how many items you are printing and the app creates that many serial numbers, each with its own signed QR link. You can also enter serial numbers you already print. Scratch-off PINs are optional.

Print the labels

Pick a label size and print the sheet. One free TEST label is added on top of your quantity so you can prove the flow works before you pay — the rest of the batch is revealed in full once payment clears.

2. What the buyer sees

The buyer points their phone camera at the label. No app to install, no account, no cost.

  • Product name, type and any extra details you chose to publish
  • Manufacturing date and expiry date
  • The date and time of this scan, and how many times it has been scanned before
  • The first owner's name for resellable items such as phones and watches
  • Whether the code's signature is genuine and whether the page you landed on is the manufacturer's verified address

When not to buy

The scan page tells the buyer to walk away if any of these is true.

  • The product has no QR code at all
  • The scan does not open the manufacturer's official information page
  • The QR label has already been peeled off or destroyed
  • The screen warns that the code was scanned before — the code may have been copied onto an imitation item

3. Packaging decides the label

The product type you pick tells the app which rule applies, so the printed notice always matches the item.

Disposable packaging

Medicine, food, drinks, cosmetics and household items carry the printed notice: "Peel off and destroy QR code area after scanning and confirming product to help curb fake product". With the label gone, an empty pack cannot be refilled and resold.

Resellable items

Phones, watches, electronics and jewellery keep their QR code. The person who scans first is recorded as the first owner and their name is shown on every later scan, so a used item is never sold as new.

4. Printing and payment

You can register, set up products and prepare a batch without paying. Payment is asked for at the print page, when the batch is ready.

₦100,000 a month

Manufacturers pay a monthly subscription to keep printing and verifying codes. Payments are taken securely through Paystack and renew each month.

Buyers never pay

Scanning, checking dates and seeing the scan history is always free for consumers. There is no app to install — the QR link opens in the phone's browser.

Test one label free

Every batch carries one extra TEST label beyond the quantity you asked for — ask for 100 and the sheet holds 101. The TEST label is clear and scannable straight away, so you can print it, scan it and see the real product page before you subscribe.

Why a fake code fails

Secretly signed codes

Every QR link carries a secret signature over the brand and serial number. A made-up, guessed or copied-out serial fails immediately.

One-time scratch-off PIN

Where you choose to add PINs, each hidden 6-digit code works once. A second attempt flags the item as a suspected copy, and repeated guesses are blocked.

Verified web address

A brand proves it owns its web address before scans use it. Scans that land on an unverified look-alike site are shown as fake.
